It so happens that if something is meant to be, it will be. That's the story of FLOOR SIXTEEN. Without thinking twice, we got into the car and went to . . . Austria! It turned out that in addition to desire, having the songs, the instruments, the rehearsal time, the talent and, most importantly the car, nothing is impossible!
So, FLOOR SIXTEEN is now in Vienna the beautiful capital of Austria and home of Strauss, the Vienna State Opera, Sigmund Freud and Hundervasser. On the way over we even managed to find time to play in Castle Square, Warsaw.
So a hearty welcome to our friends in Austria and know how glad we are to be here walking in the footsteps of the true musical geniuses which have gone before us! At the prospect that ahead lies Linz, Salzburg, Brno and so many other beautiful places in the region we are just beginning to realize that we truly are “Free Birds”. Apologies to Lynard Skynard.
Incidentally, Austria smells like lilacs and lilies of the valley...
Last month, as usual, we awoke once again groggy from lack of sleep, answering fan letters and negotiating with big labels. There was some discussion as to what our next move should be so we decided to do a new demo disc. Our old one wasn’t doing so well, (probably because we never actually recorded it).
